Alex found his Halloween costume for this year!! Yes I know it is a little early but when a good deal comes along you can't pass it up!

Fun at Wilson Island

Last weekend we went to Wilson Island to enjoy the beautiful weather. While papa and Gab and Guerrero fished the rest of us enjoyed playing at the park and sitting in the shade reading!!








Tia Vicki and Gab enjoyed some volleyball. Although the rest of us played too, they kept it up for well over an hour!!!




Tio Genaro would not let me sleep. He kept playing with a weed and using it to tickle my face and nose!!! Come on Tio!!

College World Series 2009

Yesterday myself and a few of the kids and our friend Cathy and her daughter Lizzie decided to head to Rosenblatt Stadium and the crazy crowds to hang out at the College World Series fan fest!! Started off walking about a mile, ONLY, thanks to a nice man that let us park in his driveway for $5, but Cathy gave him $10!
Once we got there we had some fun doing some of the activities they offered there. Around 4pm we decided hey, let's try to get in a game. So for the next 2 hours we stood, pushed, pulled and were moved like cattle getting loaded on the truck for market!! When we finally got to the ticket takers it was standing room only and they were not kidding! We finally found a space to sit and from that time on it went from about a 6 foot space to a 3 foot space right in front of our bench. Alex and I finally found somewhere to sit in the bottom of the 7th inning. We decided to skip the crowds and head home before the game ended. All in all we had a great time. I am not a baseball fan but it was totally worth going to. Can't believe I have lived in Omaha for over 13 years and this is the first time that I have gone to the series. Maybe I can be persuaded to do it again!

Lizzie fell while we were walking down to the stadium. Poor thing, she really took some skin off that knee.
