A new look? Or not?

I have found this cool website where you can do makeovers on yourself to see what you would look like with different kinds of hair and hair styles etc. etc. It has been so much fun that I decided I wanted to really see everything so I got the 7 day trial subscription and went to town taking pics of the kids, neighbor and myself!!! Vote on which one you like!!! I guess I don't know how to count very well, I skipped 6, oh well I guess 6 will find it's way on here somehow, or just stay a mystery.

Camping Reservations??

Apparently if you are going to camp anywhere relatively close to town you had better head out on Friday night and reserve that campsite or you will be camping in your backyard! Or so we found out when we tried to go to a new campsite, one where the kids could actually go swimming. A little change of scenery, well we ended up right back where we have always gone, because everything was FULL!!! It's not bad where we go camping it is just that we have been there so much and this weekend was actually hot enough to go swimming and so we thought that we would change it up a bit. So seeing how we could not we ended up back at Wilson Island about 30 min. north of Omaha. It is really beautiful there and it was not to crowded. So we set up camp and the fam headed to the river to do some fishing. We weren't very successful. The weather was beautiful and we sat under the stars that night and just hung out. To bad I don't know any great campfire songs or ghost stories. Anyone want to pass some along???? Would love to have some for next time! We did enjoy looking at all the beautiful stars. I love looking at the stars at night. I miss Wyoming's clear nights were you could see a million of them! The boys pointed out the big dipper to us, but there were to many trees for them to point out the little dipper! All in all we had a very nice and relaxing time!

check out those abs eh???!!!!

A COMB???

Sure is!! Three of my six kids had the same 3rd grade teacher, Mr. Parsons! He is one of those teachers that goes the extra mile and adapts things to your child's needs. He lived up the street from us for awhile and then life took him to Kansas. Well last week he was up at his house here in Omaha, which just so happens to be up the street from us, and the kids enjoyed visiting with him. They were so excited to see him. You ROCK Mr. Parsons!!! And so does GUS!!! While the kids were there he was telling them about a flower in one of the flower beds. (Genaro will come back and edit this portion because this is how it was told to him)

ther is a cool flawer so cool you can brush your hir with it. that the indinds use it. my frind gave it to us and it needs a lot of era and sun.

COOL HUH??? I had to actually try it out and it worked!!!

July 6th HAPPY BIRTHDAY ROLY!

July 6th you turned 11!! You celebrated your birthday in Oklahoma where Tony made you a pumpkin cake (yum yum, which you still have to make for us!!) So when you arrived home we celebrated here with you too! You wanted cheesecake so we made you a few and one ended up in your face, which you enjoyed because it meant that you got to eat that one by yourself. No sharing!! You entertain us with your sense of humor! Thank you for always making us smile!

Sleeping........

I thought this was funny! I walked into our room and Genaro was sound asleep! This is not a pose this is actually him! It just cracked me up!

OH MY where is my TOMBOY???

My beautiful daughter decided that today (July 4th) would be as good a day as any to learn to put on makeup! So I grabbed her aunt and pulled out all our make-up and they went to town! All the girls in the house had fun putting on make-up! Aren't they beautiful!

FREEDOM RINGS!!! 4th of JULY

HAPPY 4TH OF JULY EVERYONE!

We had such a good time on the 4th. It was a little more relaxing because the older boys were in Oklahoma so I was not as stressed with the fireworks!!! HAHA We just hung out with the fam and BBQ'd. Kids had fun lighting off the fireworks, and watching the neighbors. There wasn't a lot going on in the neighborhood this year and I yearned to go see some of the BIG ones! So we hopped in our cars and headed down south to see the Ralston/Papillion firework display. We almost thought we had missed it but ended up parking just as they went off. We had a beautiful view and they were wonderful. This 4th was so cold! I don't remember it ever being this cold before, it still was nice!
Here is a big SHOUT OUT to all the military past and present and their families who have sacrificed so much for us to have the freedoms that we enjoy. THANK YOU!

It's all about Genaro!!

HAPPY 9TH BIRTHDAY GENARO!!

Wow you are now 9(June 29th)! We had such a great time on your birthday I am so happy that you enjoyed it. You are probably my most easy going child and it doesn't take much to make you happy! You invited a few of your friends over and we hung out at the family fun center where you guys enjoyed yourselves for two hours playing jump shot and jumping in the blow up!!!

We left there and went to Village Inn for lunch, and I have to tell you I think that this was one of the best behaved outings we have done!!! Lunch was great!
We left there and headed to Papio Bay to play mini golf and water wars!!! You and Caleb and Jonathan were so fun to watch. You were always bunched with your heads together figuring out the game and the score!!

After all the fun we cooled off with pops at the local gas station and headed home for a BBQ and cake ice cream and presents!!!! Yummy!
It was a great fun filled day.
