Sunday drive

We just had to get out of the house Sunday. All weekend we have had a house full of sickos! There is this tower just off of I680 going toward Iowa. We have never been there so we thought that is where we would go. It was not a hard climb at all, and when you got to the top you could see for miles. It was rather pretty. We didn't stay to long just long enough to get all the jitters out and then headed back home!

Happy '10" Birthday Carmen

Carmen turned 10 on Aug. 25! We bbq'd and she had a few friends over to spend the night. Carmen found a butterfly cake pan at a garage sale earlier this year and so we made that for her. I decorated one of the butterflies and she and her friends decorated the other! They had a great time! Happy Birthday my little artist!

Offutt Air Show

Last weekend we headed down to Bellvue and watched the annual air show at Offutt Air force Base. This year we decided not to go on base, so Genaro found a good hill and we parked! Parked in the middle of a field of weeds mind you, but it was sure a good spot. Needless to say I stayed in the suburban until the kids had smashed all the weeds down! I have to admit we were in the perfect spot the planes always went right over our heads!! It made it hard to get a picture when they were directly overhead because we had to keep moving in for the distance shots and didn't have time to move the lens back out to get the closer ones. The kids took some great pictures. My favorite plane was the Stealth Bomber! I also liked the F-18's and how they went by you without any sound and then you heard the sound. Totally cool! Can't wait for next year!
